Recent years have witnessed alot of success for Portville Football under Coach Swetland.  The team won six Section VI playoff games, as well as the C-Bowl.  In 2003, the Panthers finally won their first sectional championship at The Ralph, defeating Cleveland Hill.

The 2001 squad broke the record for most points in a season, only to be replaced by the 2004 team, which scored 321 in ten games on its way to the Ralph.  During the best years, PCS went 19-3 during one stretch over 3 seasons.
