The 2002 PCS volleyball team accomplished one of the best seasons of all-time, posting a 24-2 record and a trip to the Section 6 semi-playoff game.

Portville lost seven 3-year varsity players to graduation, but Coach Decker is excited about this season.

"We are very young, but we have some very talented girls on the team.  If the girls can come together and fill the holes left behind by last year's graduations, we will be in good shape.  We have alot of potential if it all comes together.  Defense should be our strong point."

The team has only one senior, but they are experienced.  The girls get along well, work hard, and have good chemistry.  It looks like another successful season is ahead.

Portville has picked up non-league games against Olean, Allegany-Limestone, and Houghton this year in addition to its matches in the Catt. County D League and the Expressway Conference.
